Evernyl, for Oakmoss
Evernyl, for Oakmoss
Described as possessing a mossy, powdery oakmoss, woody, phenolic and earthy character, Evernyl is a deceptively powerful material that can have a significant effect on a blend. It is an excellent fixative and adds great depth and substance to almost any fragrance.
Although it isn’t a full substitute for oakmoss on its own, (unfortunately much oakmoss is banned or heavily restricted in modern day perfumes) this chemical is one of the key odour components of oakmoss absolute. As such it imparts a much cleaner note useful in fougere and modern chypre.
